Songs Out Of Context - Chop Suey

Hello,

* Part of my Life Rhythms Podcasts, Songs Out Of Context, Cosmic Songs, Song Alterations, Fun With Lyrics, and Songwriting efforts

You know those songs you hear, that inspire us to come up with other lyrics?

Sometimes it's a simple misheard word or phrase. Other times we may not hear it and add what we think it said, or even make things up.

Over the years I have found that I like to alter songs. For fun, for self-expression, and for a Lè Challėnge! Today is another day that I chose to alter an existing song, into my own lyrics.

Original Song: "Chop Suey"/ Lyrics Credit: Serj Tankian, and Daron Malakian from the band System Of A Down

My Lyrics:

Woke up (woke up)
Grabbed a seat and pulled a little tray up
Help me move around, but what now? (help me move around, but what...)
Why'd I leave the bar upon the tray?

Here I go make up another story, I wanted to
Grabbed a seat and pulled a little tray up, I wanted to
Help me move around, but what now? (help me move around, but what...)
Why'd I leave the bar upon the tray?, I wanted to

I don't think you trust
In my self-guided life design
I cry when my friends pass away

Woke up (woke up)
Grabbed a seat and pulled a little tray up
Help me move around, but what now? (help me move around, but what...)
Why'd I leave the bar upon the tray?

Here I go make up another story, I wanted to
Grabbed a seat and pulled a little tray up, I wanted to
Help me move around, but what now? (help me move around, but what...)
Why'd I leave the bar upon the tray?, I wanted to

I don't think you trust
In my self-guided life design
I cry when my friends pass away
In my self-guided life design
I cry when my friends pass away

Mother (mother)
Mother (mother)
Mother (mother)
Mother (mother)

Mother, In your care I had to trust you
Mother, in your care
Why have you abandoned me?
In your eyes abandoned from me
In your thoughts abandoned me
In your heart abandoned me, oh

Trust in my self-guided life design
I cry when my friends pass away
In my self-guided life design
I cry when my friends pass away

Inspirations Among Us (IAU)

Hello,

In life we meet people that inspire us, help us to grow in positive ways (mind, body, and soul), and whom can truly make a difference in our lives. These people often do offer many amazing opportunities to us, and it’s important to grab hold of those opportunities that can arise. Especially when “the sock fits” us as individuals/ people.

I want to share part of a conversation I had with a friend today, to show you what I mean. It started like any other conversation, but then turned into more. My friend, let’s call her... Dawn, is an artist of sorts like myself.  Dawn invited me to a painting party she plans to have in the future, and of course I accepted the invitation.

After which, I was talking to her about how we are like-minded with some areas of our creative selves, and how I see that together we can have a lot of potential in these areas.
Next we started talking about downsizing, this is where we also started into something inspiring that is now in the planning stages. Here is part of our conversation...
Me: ‘ If I can downsize enough, then I will be able to focus on what I actually want/ want to make for sale. ’
Dawn: “For sure.”
Me: ‘ I would also love if you came over to use a machine with me (I have 2), so we can do it together and also learn how... together. ’
Dawn: “I’d love that.”
Me: ‘ I would love that too. So come over already! And let me visit you too to help get you ready for it... lol ‘
Dawn: “... in early March for sure!“
Me: ‘ And we could do a fashion show ‘
Dawn: “Absolutely”
Me: ‘ And it doesn't take a lot of pieces to do a fashion show... It just takes about 5-10 probably... Although I bet we would make way more... ‘
Dawn: “I'd aim for 10-20“
Me: ‘ Our brilliant minds together can go far in fashion I am sure... ‘
Dawn: “Oh indeed.”
Me: ‘ And your photography would totally help there too. As would my social self... So why are we waiting for me to start visiting you? lol ‘
Dawn: “Good point!”
Me: ‘ I am always willing to do "art therapy" with you with anything creative we can do together... I just want to help you grow faster so that you can grow into what you want sooner. ‘
Dawn: “Sweet”
Me: ‘ I want to strengthen us and get us where we want/ should and can be. ‘
Dawn: “I love your attitude. You really are inspiring.”
This is just one example of inspirations among us. There are many people I have met whom have inspired me in life, and a few whom have become not just a muse, but a friend as well. I feel there is a HUGE amount of untapped potential out there with many of them, and I don’t plan on letting such opportunities ”slip through my fingers”. I value them, and I am honoured to be considered as their friend.
If you have met me in person, truly know me as a person, and are one of my friends, know that I am always willing to help us grow in as many positive ways as possible. I am here in this world as a positive conduit if need be, and I am glad to do it.

So the next time you encounter a friend, muse, or someone else offering opportunities that fit you... Take them!
It just may turn out to be something awesome!
Until next time,
Take care & Safe travels.
Sincerely,

Mortisha M./ C.E.S. (^&^)

A Focus for Change - Conestoga

(~*~)
Hello,
As some may know I decided last year to go back to school. I originally tried out for a course at Conestoga College, by writing the entry exam for their "Design Foundations". The result: I missed passing it by 3%, due to my rusty math skills from not being in school for more than 20 years now.
So when I was told about the "Focus for Change" program and offered the opportunity to check it out, I did just that. It was a bit tricky for matching schedules with the ever-busy yet fabulous Jeri-Lou, but we managed it and the rest is history.
Now for some back history to what you are about to read...
During my academic upgrading (AU) after taking this course, my friend Ash & I were presented with a last-minute partial-bonus assignment offer by our teachers.
Introduction
Offer time: 1pm.
The "Le Challenge"/ Assignment:
Complete an essay that tells of your experience in the Focus for Change program, and be at the given location ready to present it by 9:30am - the next day.
Note: Due to nerves I did not look at my paper much, so I did not necessarily say these exact words. This version is from what I had written down before the presentation, and to the best of my recollection of what I said. I'm sure Ash may be able to correct me here, if she remembers any of it.
 So here I give you...
My Essay:
When I first heard of the Focus for Change program, I felt that I had discovered a missing link from my life - what was missing after high school and before working. I saw the personal growth potential this program offered, and I knew it was an opportunity that I did not want to miss. I saw any barriers as challenges to overcome, and keys to success to be gained. The 3 keys to success I found I could use help with were in the areas of self-control, time management, and focusing on the future with positive perspectives and efforts. I knew that at the least, these 3 keys to my success could be discovered through the Focus for Change program.
My first group of challenges were in regards to changing bad habits with self control. These included a late night sleeping pattern, being easily distracted, procrastinating, running late, blurting out my thoughts, rescuing others with thoughts or sentence completions, and generally talking too much.  All of these could be changed with simple adjustments of self-control. Catching myself in the act(s) were not easy, as I was just getting into the habit of purposely noticing before I can change it. And as any school girl knows, there are many more keys to success that can change our futures. For example time management, which I will discuss next.
The next set of challenges involved balancing family life with school life, and the key to succeed here was time management. One of the best ways to manage time, is to schedule yours. I was able to manage my time better by researching community resources, and scheduling my time around what was needed and available. At the beginning of the Focus for Change program I found a breakfast club in our neighbourhood, and by the end of the school year I received child care coverage for both March break and the whole month of July! Both brought me balance and helped me move forward successfully throughout the entire program. As time continues with or without me, I know that this key to success will be more attainable because of the Focus for Change program.
The last bunch of challenges included focusing on my future, with ongoing positive perspectives and efforts. Through self-awareness and exploration activities I learned to not only focus on my future, but also how to maintain positive perspectives when I am not feeling so positive. As a result, I have now completed and earned my certificates for the Focus for Change program ad well as my G.E.D. (general education diploma), I am currently now finishing my academic upgrading, and I have taken and passed the math admission/ entry exam for the software engineering technology program I am looking to go into next. All of which may not have been achieved, if not for the knowledge I gained and the encouragements of my teachers. I feel the Focus for Change program has been a great step for me to not only focus on my future, but also to think of it more positively.
As shown above, the 3 keys to success that I found very useful for me were self-control, time management, and positive future-focused perspectives and efforts. The the Focus for Change program is where it all started for me, and it has really helped me to learn and earn these 3 keys.  By practicing what was learned I have gained positive habits and routines,. As these new habits and routines can open many more opportunistic doors for me, I feel confident that I will discover and pursue my life interests more and build the pathways into a successful future. I highly recommend the Focus for Change program to any woman who wants to change and/ or improve their life, and to find their life-paths to their successful futures. For even Little Red Riding Hood had to learn these 3 keys to success, to overcome her odds against the wolf.

That's it for now.

C.E.S. - Why I do it

(~*~)
Hello,
Some have asked why I started my 3 major projects/ "business initiatives"... So I'm "spilling the beans".

=
WHO
As an Individual :
I care about Life being positive, and try to promote/ help preserve what is pure & good. For myself, my children, their children, and our globe as an entity of it's own ("Mother Nature").
+
As an Artist/ Community Member:
Inspirations surround me, like a blanket on a cold stormy night.
My projects/ creations are my assistants, to pass on my thoughts into my existence.
I care to grow positively along the way; and spread the love too. All while meeting new friends. Who knows, some may become close/ true friends, as possible collaborators/ resources in our arts & culture community. I have become a "community builder" (both online & off), with my volunteering efforts since 2009.
WHY

Along adventures in my life's journey, I have discovered many-a-disturbing facts.
Among them...
1. Our resources for "independent"/ creative thinking and what's known as "common sense", seems to be depleting/ disappearing.
My '3Cs' (creativity, collaborations, and community building) efforts started; as my 3 major projects/ "business initiatives" went online. As resources/ creative outlets they enabled supporting those around me (including enablers), as well as my own ideas. All are welcome to share, join me/ us on projects, or invite me/us to join them.
 &
2. There are still continual attempts in society, to suppress women.
Trying to "do something about it", with my support for creative women. A project with a friend years ago started the fruition of our name for this, while another friend's visit years later started our first official website with me!

I/ We are happy to support creative women in their efforts.
+

An excellent example - I can't let the memory of it "die"!
Tamara Minns, owned a shop that was "legendary" in honouring and attempting to aid artisans of all kinds, from all over Canada! It was called "Rare Funk", and it was a huge contributor & support to our arts & culture community.
They are both greatly missed, among many community members.
For more about Tamara Minns & "Rare Funk": My Blog & Rare Funk on Facebook.
+
As an "Ideas Gal"/ Entrepreneur:
With projects under way since 1985 or earlier, I have yet to encounter a lack of ideas. As I  expanded into our digital age with an online presence, it quickly grew into 3 completely different directions from there. I made the one that all "branched out" from as my "house" for them all. Official with a name of it's own, it uses the same initials as my real name - this way any copyrights for it/ me cover both (so was my intent).
More Information:  Need 2 Know
+
Since then, I changed the name for a better/ more attuned to my ideas/ projects better. Now called " Wild Collab World ", and is sometimes referred to/ known as " Cosmic Pirates Productions ".
Online presences seem to be taking on one or the other, more than anything else.
My most used social media are:
YouTube: Cosmic Pirates Productions; @Wild Collab World
Instagram: Wild_Collab_World; @My name
Facebook:
Profile
Pages: Chris S' Projects, Wild Wicked World,  Wild Wicked Women - Creative Collective, and Cosmic Pirates Productions
My Groups: Wild Wicked World/ W3 - Earth, and Rock 'N ' Roll Friends
Groups I Contribute to: Me(n)tal Health And Music, Dance Events in Southern Ontario, Niagara Goth, Let's Talk About Gothic Fashion, Witches of Wortley Dance Troupe, and a few others randomly.
TikTok: TrishT.Dish1369; @Cosmic Pirates Productions
=
My Goals for each:
Try to help to "spread the love"/  promote Life positives, and build community. I find it can also promote independent thinkers and thinking,
present/ preserve "good role models" for all generations, and generally "do good". As creative outlets/ multifunctional resource spaces, and for my/ our "grand ideas", learning resources, and a space to brainstorm together like a "virtual" office!, and of course for sharing our activities/ events, and products/ services.
For free, so feel free. (^&^)
 =
Online presences:
Other than what's listed above: List by request.
"Continuous Construction" is ongoing here, as are self improvement attempts throughout Life.
=
My Random Add - RE: Going more "green":
If a web cam/ online coverage are options, who needs to travel anymore? ---> only for visits that include hugs... (^&~)
=
More Information:  Births
=
Until next time...
Sincerely,
Chris S. (*@^@*)

History (as it happened):
O.A.D.

~ Personal "le challenges" were well under way since 1985.
~ Became an official "project" by the late 1990's, and became known as "shopping in Chris' Closet" (themed or not) - quoting several over the years that did not know each other, nor of it being stated before.
Chris S.' Projects
~ Officially started in the late 1990's (as mentioned above), and continued in 1999 with board game ideas in mind. It was not online, until later (see below).
+
~ Officially started "Wild Wicked Women - Creative Group" on Facebook, just prior to the "Wild Wicked Women" website on Dec.9, 2009. This was my first supportive online presence. I then changed the name to "Wild Wicked Women - Creative Group/ Collective" to include the idea/ possibility of groups within a collective.
For me: There are too many creative women "out there", to not want to promote/ support them!

+
~ Officially started "Chris S.' Projects" on Facebook in 2010. Despite this being my second supportive online presence, this is my "main brain" that all projects stem from and where I support both men and women. I then changed the name to host the same initials as my real name, and is now known as "Collaborative Endeavors Studio" (my "house/ headquarters").
+
~ Officially started "Wild Wicked World" (my game ideas) in 2010, and it grew to have two versions (an original/ earlier version, and a family friendly/ farther into time version) by 2011.
